Empowering Through Unity: One Culture’s Jersey launch Event at Ettalong Bowling Club

In a heartwarming display of community support and inclusivity, the Jersey Launch Event powered by One Culture took centre stage at the Ettalong Bowling Club. This remarkable event, sponsored and hosted by the bowling club, brought together diverse personalities and organisations, all rallying behind the common goal of breaking barriers for individuals living with disabilities.

A Unifying Force: One Culture’s Mission
The main goal of the event was to continue to make sport inclusive and accessible for people living with a disability. The highlight of the lunch was the unveiling of custom Macron jerseys, generously provided by Ettalong Bowling Club, that participants of One Culture’s sports programs could proudly wear. The jerseys not only represented a sense of unity but also featured the names and logos of other key sponsors, including Planet Fitness and Gosford Pickleball Club.

Why Macron?
Macron’s mission statement aligns with One Culture’s, especially the sense of community and sport, and the idea that through this channel you can become your own hero. Their statement reads; “We work hard to create cutting-edge, high-performance sportswear to support athletes from grassroots to professionals in their efforts to become their own hero on and off the field. We strive to build a community that shares our passion for true sport. We believe that high standards of good management, social responsibility and respect for the environment are the way to design the future.“

Support from Every Corner: Diverse Partnerships
The event’s success was a testament to the collaborative efforts of a myriad of supporters. Planet Fitness, a key sponsor, showcased their commitment to inclusivity across their gyms on the Central Coast. Representatives from Planet Fitness along with Central Coast Basketball, Central Coast Waves, Lisarow-Ourimbah Cricket Club, Southern Ettalong United Football Club and Macron NSW were just a few of the dedicated individuals present, all contributing to the sense of community that permeated the event. The jerseys were also cerated for our other current sports programs with Wyoming Tigers Football Club, Central Coast Oztag and Terrigal United Football Club.

A Personal Touch: Personalised Jerseys and Inspirational Speeches
The jerseys themselves served as more than just sportswear; they were symbols of empowerment. Participants in One Culture’s sports programs received these jerseys with their personalised names and numbers, fostering a deep sense of belonging. Leisl Tesch, MP for Gosford, shared poignant stories of her own experiences with disability, emphasising the transformative power of sports in overcoming life’s challenges.
CEO of Ettalong Bowling Club, Tim McGavin, also spoke passionately about the impact of One Culture’s sports programs. Tim’s personal connection to the cause underscored the genuine support and belief in the positive change that One Culture brings to the community.

Building Bridges: Beyond Sports
The Jersey Launch Event was not just about jerseys; it was a celebration of unity, understanding and breaking down societal barriers, as well as having proved itself to be a milestone in the ongoing journey towards a more inclusive and supportive community. It showcased how a community that can come together to provide opportunities and support for those who may face unique challenges, whether it be in sports, physical activity or general community engagement.
