Friday Night Lights
A free, inclusive hangout to kickstart the weekend
Our Friday Night Lights program is a free weekly evening sport program, delivered in partnership with the Department of Human Services (DHS) to create safe, welcoming spaces for young people to connect and stay active.
Designed around football and shared activities, the program gives young people a positive outlet at the end of the week — helping build confidence, friendships and routine. This round places a strong focus on engaging young people from Middle Eastern backgrounds, creating culturally safe environments where participants feel understood, included and part of a supportive community.
How can you get involved?
Friday Night Lights is open to everyone, and getting involved is easy — just come down to Blair Athol Reserve any Friday between 5pm and 8pm and jump into whatever activities you enjoy.
You can bring a friend, meet new people or simply give something new a go. There’s no cost, no registration and no pressure — just a safe, welcoming place to play, connect and be part of a positive community.
