Supported Independent Living

What is SIL?

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS-funded support that helps people with higher support needs live as independently as possible while receiving assistance with everyday tasks.

SIL is not a type of accommodation. Instead, it provides funding for the support you receive in your home, whether you live in a shared home with other NDIS participants or in a home of your own.

The goal of SIL is to help participants build independence, develop life skills, and live safely while receiving the level of support they need.

What makes us different?

At One Culture, we believe Supported Independent Living should feel like your home, not just somewhere you live.

That's why you have a say in the things that matter most—from where you live to the support workers who are by your side. We take the time to listen, understand your preferences, and build a support team that makes you feel comfortable, respected, and heard.

We're also here to help you grow. Whether you're learning to cook, manage your daily routine, or build other independent living skills, we'll support you at your own pace and celebrate every step forward.

If you'd like to get more involved in your community, we'll help make that happen too. Whether it's joining a local group, finding a new hobby, or simply getting out and about, we'll support you to build confidence, make connections, and enjoy life on your terms.
