Summer World Cup
A celebration of football, culture and community
The Summer World Cup is One Culture Football’s biggest and most anticipated community event of the year — a friendly and inclusive tournament where young people from diverse backgrounds come together to proudly represent their country, connect with new friends, and share in the pure joy and excitement of the game. There are no trials or competitive pressure involved. It’s simply about football, having fun, and embracing the opportunity to belong to a welcoming community.
Players join a team that represents their culture or heritage, creating a festival atmosphere full of pride, energy and teamwork. Whether you’ve lived in Australia your whole life or you’re new to the community, the Summer World Cup is a place to feel seen, included and part of something bigger.
More than a tournament — it builds connection and confidence
Football is just the starting point. The Summer World Cup helps young people strengthen social skills, develop teamwork, and feel a sense of belonging. For many families, especially from multicultural and new-arrival backgrounds, it’s a chance to connect with a community that understands and celebrates diversity. This aligns with our community sport purpose: creating accessible, low-pressure activities that support confidence, routine and fun.
Many players join the Summer World Cup and then continue into our free weekly inclusive football sessions, school holiday programs, or One Culture Support Services (optional for NDIS participants).
It’s a fun event — but also a gateway to long-term belonging and community connection.
